Dr. Warres is an experienced psychiatrist who was Chief of Psychiatry at the University
of Maryland's Shock Trauma Center for 20 years – in addition to being Chief of Psychiatry at Kernan Hospital and Montebello Hospital. As a faculty member at the University of Maryland Medical School, he has taught many of the psychiatrists who practice in the Baltimore area. In addition to having expertise in treating anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder and depression, Dr. Warres (because of his Shock Trauma and Kernan experience) has become an expert in treating individuals with psychiatric problems related to medical illness and physical injury. He believes psychotherapy with a psychiatrist is often very beneficial, and enjoys seeing patients for combined psychotherapy and psychiatric medication management – as warranted for each individual. His solo practice is conveniently located in Pikesville, one block from Reisterstown Road. Dr. Warres, a past president of the Maryland Psychiatric Society, is Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
